I fell off the scooter and sprained my left ankle the other day.
I used some once screen-scrolling time to finally finish this drawing inspired by a watercolour piece I found in a book.
I indulged myself by reading this book for half an hour in my bedroom today, with earplugs on to prevent the sound my children were making the next door. It’s one of the few things that makes me feel most myself, reminding me of many winters back as a teenager— happily buried in books and couldn’t stop writing.
𝘈𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘵 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘩𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘭𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘭, our Valentine’s Day looks like a sick, cranky baby, an attention-seeking flu-recovering toddler, leftover Bolognese and soup, and two sickish, exhausted parents who don’t have any family member living in the same country to celebrate together Chinese New Year.
